The Lambeth Conference will take place, God willing, in the summer of 2022.
But this Lambeth Conference is going to be different – not a single event, but a journey, with bishops meeting up online and regionally before the Conference.
We’ve already begun that process here – Bishop Olivia recently hosted a panel at our Partners in World Mission Conference, at which we heard from Bishops Greg Anderson (Northern Territory, Australia) Keith Joseph (North Queensland, Australia), William Mostert (Christ the King, South Africa), John Stead (Willochra, Australia) and Canon Carol Starkey (Vicar General, Kimberley and Kuruman).
It was moving, challenging and inspiring to hear about their dioceses, the challenges their churches face, how they are responding to COVID and climate change, and where they find inspiration.
We look forward to getting to know them and the other bishops we are due to host – Bishops Abelino Apeleo (Temuco, Chile), John Bauerschmidt (Tennessee, USA), Pushpalalitha Eggoni (Nandyal, India), Munhindo Isesomo (Nord Kivu, DRC), Achille Mutshindu (Kinshasa ), Chalres Ong’injo (Maseno South, Kenya), and Andrew Waldo (Upper South Carolina, USA). Please pray for each of them and their dioceses.
